Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, Laura Wilson moved to North Carolina in 2003 , spending her formative high school years in the town of Cary. The rapidly expanding community was perpetually under construction, changing by the day and adjusting to the new population. Split between urban, suburban, and old untouched country, she developed a flexible outlook on life that she carried to college.
Laura received her BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art, where she studied animation. Laura likes a little mystery in art and aspires to have work that relates to people on many different levels. She enjoys color and texture, and loves to get lost the meditative repetition of rendering them out.
Currently, Laura lives in Austin, Texas. She hopes to incorporate the lively city into her personal work, while pursuing a career in Concept Art and Illustration.
